I was born in BC, and have childhood memories of abundant fruit orchards, fruit stands and u-pick berry farms. My love for fruit has matured and my interest shifted to vineyards, and a few favourite grape varietals. My first love of BC wines came from tasting big, bold reds that Southern BC is so well-known for. As for spirits, it’s always Gin O’clock, and I love to try new cocktail recipes to share with my family and friends.

Anyone that knows me, knows that I love to cook and entertain, food and beverages go hand-in-hand. I am committed to our Liquid Kudos journey to discover the best of BC wines and spirits!

I am a business leader and consultant skilled at financial and strategic planning and analysis, policy development, and operations management. I am an MBA graduate from Laurentian University, a CPA (CGA) Designation, Undergraduate Degree in Accounting from the University of Calgary. Recently, I obtained the Canadian Wine Scholar and WSET-1 accreditation.

I first fell in love with BC wine and spirits while studying hospitality at Camosun College in Victoria, BC. The year was 1997 and I was 19 years old, my passion for learning about Canadian wine, spirits, craft beer and cider continues today. It was so much fun wine tasting, trying my hand at mixology and bartending, food pairing and of course the experience working in the hotel and restaurant industry.

Since my first time tasting BC wine and spirits, I was hooked! For the past two decades, I have continued to explore, taste and tour at over 100 wineries and distilleries in British Columbia, and beyond.

I am a business columnist for Okanagan Edge. I am an Entrepreneur-in-Residence for the Women’s Enterprise Centre, and my role is to support women entrepreneurs seeking to start and grow businesses. I also support and connect entrepreneurs that want to export to new domestic and international markets.

I am an MBA graduate from Royals Roads University, Wine Business Management Certificate from Sonoma State University, Hotel and Restaurant Management Diploma from Camosun College. Recently, I obtained the Canadian Wine Scholar and WSET-1 accreditation.
